The Can CrushersIgiugig has a deep commitment to the environment. We strive for a cleaner, healthier village for our residents and visitors alike. We look forward to a new recycling center, establishing a community-supported greenhouse, and harnessing renewable energy.

Summer is here again!  That means our Environmental Program is in full swing!  Dump schedules have been made, as in past years; we request that you only come on your lodge's designated day.  This eliminates our burner needing to be started more than once a day and our employees being overwhelmed with the loads.  April and I have been getting our recycling bins and chicken scrap buckets ready for each lodge and hoping for 100% participation in our environmental efforts this season.

  • Process for recycling - Like previous years, we will be recycling aluminum cans. Please keep the cans free of trash, food, cigarettes, chewing tobacco, etc. Aluminum cans and alkaline batteries will have a drop off box at the hangar.
  • Scrap foods - Use the five gallon buckets that were given to you to store food scraps in. Once they are filled, they will need to be dropped off at the hangar.  Once emptied, will notify your lodge.
  • # 10 can disposal - These cans need to have both ends removed and then crushed.
  • Landfill time - The dump is open Monday through Friday 2pm to 4pm. We aren’t open on weekends and if you come after hours the fee is $25.
Please Recycle
