Welcome to 2021! We’ve all made it safely to 2021 despite a world pandemic we are currently enduring. If you're not willing to accept change, then you’ll never be able to learn. Our Covid-19 travel restrictions and quarantine guidelines have been updated to follow the CDC guidelines. Igiugig students provided us with a little update on what they’ve been doing in the Makuryat School Update as well.

We all love the challenges the Igiugig Clinic staff Tanya and Amanda put together that you’ll read about in their update. AlexAnna Salmon, Village President, wrote an update on several of the grants she’s been heading up in her Presidential Report.

Irmelin has written a summary of the event she had at the library in October on “Three Perspectives on Social Change in Igiugig”. Due to COVID, she wasn’t able to do the meeting in person, so we met virtually.

Denali interviewed Amanda Bybee at the clinic on Covid-19 and the impact it’s had on their jobs. Featured next to her article is a photo of both of our health aides receiving the Covid-19 vaccine, which is a tremendous step forward to returning to an almost normal life we’ve know before March 2020.

Last but not least, congratulations to Levi and Alicia Tinney on their baby girl Afanesia Lorraine Tinney, born December 31st, 2020 at 11:41 pm, 7 lbs 9oz & 20 inches long!
