IGAP News June 2015

Written by Stacy Hill on .

Summer has not officially started here in Igiugig, but it sure feels like it has! Our community planting day was a huge success. Thank you to all that lent a hand on a very hot day. Our new chickens arrived on June 8th along with our WWOOFers Ciara and David. Thanks to them for their care of the chickens for the first crucial days after making the long trip from Murray McMurray Hatchery in Iowa. I had the opportunity to attend a week long air quality class in Flagstaff, Arizona during the first week in June. I learned a lot during that week and now have a better understanding on the effects of road dust and the causes of climate change have on our environment and our health. I hope everybody has a safe and healthy summer. Time to go fishin!
